Restoring the petticoat

This is another member of our restoration team, Dakota DuBois. He is busy at work on the petticoat for The Lady’s gown. This is a separate piece from the rest of the bodice. In this photo he is drilling holes into the bottom of this section to add a zinc patch. You can see some of the previous patching he has added. This process happens daily and for hours on end.
